On Sunday, May 31, Campus Community Church ordained the first three deacons in the life of their church. The men who were ordained included Joshua Steinmetz, Paul Laska, and Zechariah Han. Pastor Mark Hong shared with his congregation that he sensed the Lord's leadership to appoint these deacons as he was reading Acts 6:7 back in the Fall of 2008.
What's going on this summer in the CBA?
This summer in the CBA we have all kinds of ministry taking place. At Midvale Baptist Church they are hosting a summer day camp with more than 40 children registered. In Lacrosse, Three Rivers Fellowship Church is ministering at River Fest with a group from Decatur Baptist in Alabama coming to help the first week in July.
From June 19-21, 3C Cowboy Church from Salado, Texas is coming to minister at the Wisconsin High School Rodeo Championships at the Richland County Fairgrounds. Led by Pastor Jason Bryant, this team will be assisting Paul Fries as they work to get a Cowboy church started in the CBA.
The first two weeks in July the Madison area churches are receiving help from large mission teams coming from Missouri and North Carolina. These teams are assisting with block parties, children's camp, youth camp, construction, Adult VBS, and a lot more.
Then from July 19-23 we have more than 100 volunteers coming to the Wisconsin Dells to help us with Family Fest. This event will be serving the community and helping Pine Valley Church, River of Life Church, and Trinity Baptist Church.
We are grateful for the many laborers being raised up for the harvest this summer in the CBA. May the Lord be praised and may the gospel go out because of this labor of love in Jesus name.
